Family Street Festival / Kaleidoscope

A temporary event tile for festival days, pop-up play dates, and special activities.
Look through, spin around, and name every color you can see.
Kaleidoscope is a free family festival and block party held each April to celebrate Week of the Young Child and raise awareness of Child Abuse Prevention Month.
The first festival was held in 2023, and Kaleidoscope earned “Best Festival” in the 2025 Stillwater NewsPress Best of Stillwater awards.
Talk about the different booths. How are they alike and different?
What song or activity makes you laugh?
Which activity looks most challenging?
What is your favorite part of the festival?
- I spy a balloon. How many can you count?
- I spy a community helper. What job do you think they do?
- I spy an animal. What would you name it?
- Describe other children playing. What feelings do you notice?
- Dance along to music with your baby and notice how they like to move.
- Name colors and shapes on vehicles, booths, and signs.
- Pretend you are in a band. What moves does a drummer make?
- Try one festival activity you have never done before.
- Take pictures during the event and tell a story about them later.
